Related-party disclosure

We'd rather you hear it from us

Some of the businesses that sponsor or host our programs are owned or co-owned by our President, Marquisha Williams: D&D Consulting and Associates Inc., Truboost Tax and Financial Services, and MAAT Gathering Place of Healing, where our Byte by Byte and Harvest of Hope pickups take place. These businesses support She Speaks as sponsors and hosts, and our President receives no salary from the nonprofit. We share this so every donor has the full picture.

Stewardship

How your gift is used

We tie gifts to tangible outcomes, credit the people who give, and report results in public.

01

Program gifts stay with the program

When you give to Kicks for Kidz, Byte by Byte, Harvest of Hope, or Sponsor a Classroom, that gift is used for that program. A $70 Harvest of Hope gift fills a Thanksgiving box. A $25 Kicks for Kidz gift puts new sneakers on a child.

02

In-kind gifts are credited by name

All 50 Byte by Byte Chromebooks were donated by Ray Rude of Ray's Furniture and More, and 25 Harvest of Hope boxes were sponsored by D&D Consulting and Associates Inc. Sponsorships raised for Byte by Byte this year go toward the next round of Chromebooks.

03

Results are reported in public

We post what each program delivers on our Community Impact page: 632 pairs of new sneakers and more than $365,000 in apparel through Kicks for Kidz so far, with recaps added after every giveaway.
